The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Chemist to join our dynamic R&D team. This role is ideal for a technically skilled and safety-conscious individual with a background in chemistry, polymer science, or chemical engineering. You’ll contribute to cutting-edge research, support product development, and help drive continuous improvement in lab safety and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of safety by leading lab safety initiatives and training new team members.
- Conduct experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings clearly within project teams.
- Apply Design of Experiments (DoE) and other problem-solving methodologies to support innovation.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and waste disposal protocols.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support internal customer needs and project goals.
- Document research activities in lab notebooks and progress reports; contribute to IP protection.
- Represent Bostik professionally in external interactions and industry forums.
What You Bring
- BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or related field with 2+ years of industrial experience, or MS in a related field.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a practical understanding of lab processes and equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct and safety in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently under guidance and contribute effectively to team-based projects.
