Join the EMEA R&D team, focusing on industrial adhesives for the Durable Goods markets, specifically building components and mobility.

Key Activities:

  • Execute clearly defined tasks to support development projects within agreed timelines.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing process improvements and formulation scale-ups.
  • Develop connections with technical stakeholders and raw material suppliers.
  • Gain experience in customer product usage and develop testing methods.
  • Build knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
  • Offer technical support to customers through interactions, testing, presentations, and product literature.
  • Engage in continual professional development through interactions with the EMEA and global community, and ongoing learning.
  • Document learnings in written technical reports.
  • Maintain COSHH and other HSE documentation and records.
  • Stay updated on health and safety issues related to work undertaken.
  • Uphold commitment to Arkema Essentials.
  • Recognise and anticipate intellectual property protection needs and understand NDA requirements.

Context and Environment:

This laboratory-based role involves health and safety implications. The jobholder must confidently interact with internal departments and customers, representing the company professionally. External project-led technical support may require domestic and international travel.

Accountabilities:

  • Focus on product line expansion within building components and support the existing fenestration and building components product portfolio.
  • Develop and follow bespoke test plans across multiple chemistries within the mobility portfolio.
  • Develop market and application experience within the current technology perimeter and build knowledge in other technologies within Bostik.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Education: A degree (BSc) or higher in a science or engineering-based role.
  • Ideally, 1-2 years of experience in formulating and testing adhesives, sealant products, or similar industry products.
  • Effective communication, flexibility, self-starting, organisation, and project planning skills are essential.
  • IT skills are required.
