Senior Infrastructure Engineer - IT Services in London

n Senior Engineer - Networks & IT - London based - Office based \n Reports To: Head of Engineering Full Time \We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Networks & IT to join a fast-paced Engineering team. \This is a critical technical position responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance and continued development of complex IT, networking and production technology environments. \The successful candidate will have strong experience across networking, IT infrastructure and IP-based technologies, with the ability to support and develop NDI, automated production, cloud-based platforms and media management systems. \Relocation and visa-related assistance may be available for the right candidate. \Manage and support a converged network and IT environment, including planning, design, optimisation, auditing and troubleshooting. \Take ownership of IT and network-related projects and systems, including requirements gathering, ongoing support, third-party vendor engagement, procurement, engineering builds and on-site management. \Provide second and third-line technical escalation support. \Identify opportunities to improve the performance, reliability and scalability of existing technology and infrastructure. \Strong understanding of IP transport, networking, IT infrastructure and associated production technologies. \Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects, provide technical support and resolve issues. \Flexibility to work outside normal office hours, including weekends and remotely, when required. \Strong understanding of AV-over-IP (Audio/Video over Internet Protocol) technologies. \Experience with multicast and unicast networking . \Knowledge of networking protocols including: \STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) and BPDU Guard \n PTP (Precision Time Protocol) and NTP (Network Time Protocol)\n Quality of Service (QoS)\n VXLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN)\n VLAN configuration and management \n \Degree-level education in an IT, Engineering or related technical subject. \5+ years' experience within an IT or Engineering-based role in a live or business-critical environment. \Proven experience delivering end-to-end IT and technical infrastructure projects to a high standard. \n If you are looking or your next permanent opportunity, please apply below.
