BOSS Energy Consulting LTD – Pilot Plant Lead Engineer
BOSS Energy has been retained by a leading DAC business who, having received investment from S&P 100 businesses alongside recognition from XPRIZE Carbon Removal, are at a pivotal point in their growth journey and are seeking to expand. The company is seeking a Pilot Plant Engineer to join their team in their London headquarters, responsible for commissioning and operating their pilot plants both in the UK and further afield alongside helping the design team engineer the next of plant.
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning and operation of the company’s DAC pilots and future commercial plants, working closely with key manufacturing and project partners.
- Deliver plant test campaigns, operate plant equipment, and track plant activities in support of process development and future plant design.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems.
Key Competencies
- A strong working knowledge of PLC and motor controls, and the ability to work from schematics.
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to support plant operations.
- Extensive experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably worked with gas-solid reactor or handling systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment, and ensure equipment is in a constant running state.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, along with understanding root cause analysis.
- Strong HSE knowledge and experience, developing and instigating company safety and operational procedures.
