Our client is a technology driven cloud native service provider. They are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer who is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of their Red Hat orientated technology stack.
Essential skills for the Senior Linux Engineer:
- Manage internal and external information technology and computer systems including MySQL, MSSQL and Postgres databases.
- iSCSI SAN Technologies.
- Xenserver Clustered virtualized environment.
- Experience in firewall configuration and management.
- Solid experience in network configuration and management.
- System monitoring.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
- Microsoft AD and Remote Desktop Services (W2019).
- Experience of PowerShell/Bash scripting (Bash, Korn, C, Shell, etc).
- M365/ MS Exchange.
- Container based infrastructure (Docker / Kubernetes).
- IP Based phone system.
- Experience of Cloud based environments (AWS/ M365).
- Dell server hardware.
The day-to-day duties for the Senior Linux Engineer are:
- Maintain the company's DR infrastructure.
- Monitoring of key systems to ensure availability and capacity requirements are met.
- Be responsible for the scheduling and prioritisation of I&O tasks.
- Work closely with the senior management team to develop, implement and coordinate systems and procedures.
- Ensure systems and procedures conform to the company security policies.
- Audit systems to identify problematic areas.
- Ensure systems are available to meet company SLAs.
- Be available to troubleshoot / rectify any issues.
