Key Responsibilities
- Test Rig and Equipment Support
- Assemble prototype equipment and test rigs based on supplied designs and quality standards.
- Install, commission, and operate equipment at internal and external test sites.
- Run tests under direction from technical staff and document observations and results.
- Carry out upgrades or modifications to equipment, including hardware, instrumentation, and mechanical components.
- Provide feedback and suggest improvements based on on-site experience.
- Support extended test periods, which may involve travel, vehicle operation, and work in varied outdoor or industrial settings.
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly tasks.
- Undertake electrical wiring for components such as sensors, actuators, pumps, and control panels.
- Read and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
- Conduct light fabrication and machining (e.g., drilling, cutting, welding, grinding, pipe work).
- Produce components using basic additive manufacturing methods.
- Assist with ordering parts, maintaining workshop organisation, and ensuring test areas are prepared.

- Have substantial hands-on experience in a practical engineering technician role.
- Are confident in mechanical assembly, basic electrical work, hydraulics, and diagnosing issues.
- Can work independently while communicating effectively with technical teams.

- Are comfortable with frequent travel and occasional extended working hours during test periods.
