We are currently seeking a full time Front-End Web Developer to work at our offices located in the historic district in Norwich, Connecticut. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing full cycle project leadership including application architecture, design input, site layout/user interface, database design and programming. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, as well as communicating regularly with clients.

Primary responsibilities for the position include:

  • Designing and developing engaging websites with strong optimization and functionality
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of company policies and practices related to SEO and web development
  • Managing projects including: creation and development of websites (static and CMS based WordPress), web layout enhancements and web-based applications
  • Coding web pages utilizing CSS, XHTML and programming languages including JavaScript, SQL and PHP

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years web development experience
  • Strong familiarity and experience with CMS platforms, specifically WordPress
  • Solid programming proficiency in: HTML5, CSS, SASS, PHP, Javascript and jQuery
  • Facebook, YouTube and Twitter API integration and application development experience
  • Skilled in: Optimizing for performance/speed, cross browser/device testing, debugging, SEO coding principles, Adobe CS (Photoshop and XD)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present concepts to co-workers and clients
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple timelines and priorities and complete tasks within the constraints of clients' timelines and budgets
  • Desire to stay current on all relevant technology trends and innovations in order to keep the agency on the leading edge of interactive design
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships
