Job Description
Make your mark as a Framework Manager - Navy Future Dredging Capability at Boskalis! The Framework Manager acts as Boskalis Westminster's senior representative for the Ministry of Defence Navy Future Dredging Capability (NFDC) Framework. The role is responsible for the successful management and execution of the framework contract, ensuring compliance with all contractual, commercial, operational, security and stakeholder requirements. This role reports into the Operations Manager and bridges operational delivery, commercial management, stakeholder engagement and strategic contract governance. The role involves periods of work in a Hybrid office/remote role and during execution of the works require on site presence managing the work execution. While on site the operations are undertaken 7 days per week 0700-1800 with an hour lunch break.

Act as the primary contract owner and senior Boskalis representative for the NFDC Framework. Lead framework governance meetings, contract reviews and performance reporting. Monitor contractual risks, obligations, liabilities and opportunities. Manage contractual correspondence and maintain contractual records. Coordinate responses to Campaign Notices and ensure timely mobilisation planning. Support dispute avoidance and resolution processes. Ensure compliance with audit, record retention, FOI, security and reporting obligations. Project Manage the agreed campaigns on location managing direct reports and indirect resources (vessels and crew).
Commercial Management
Own the framework's commercial performance and profitability. Coordinate pricing of Campaign Notices and contract variations. Review budgets, forecasts and cost reports. Work closely with Contract Support Engineers and Quantity Surveyors. Drive financial performance against business targets.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Essential Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience within marine construction, dredging or major infrastructure projects.
- Significant experience managing NEC, FIDIC or similar contracts.
- Proven experience in senior client-facing roles.
- Strong commercial and financial management skills.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
Desirable
- Experience working with UK Government or Defence clients.
- Chartered Engineer, Chartered Manager or equivalent professional status.
- Experience in dredging and port maintenance operations.
- Knowledge of naval infrastructure and harbour maintenance activities.
- Project Management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent).

Your team: Reporting to the Operations Manager in the Operations Business Unit. Where you will work: Your work will involve periods of work in a Hybrid office/remote role and during execution of the works require on site presence. Full/part-time job: The position of Framework Manager comprises approx 236 days working per year broken into: Average 8 days per month for co-ordination meetings, 4 monitoring survey campaigns of 3 weeks, full time, 2 dredging campaigns of 3-4 weeks full time, Potential ad hoc campaigns dependent on client requirements. Permanent/Fixed Term: This is a permanent position.
