Job Description
Make your mark as Subcontract Specialist (Remote Technologies & Assets) for Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen. The Subcontract Specialist is responsible for actively managing the planning, sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, administration, and performance management of the subcontracts required for the Remote Technologies and Assets departments. You will support Internal Stakeholders in the strategic contracting of goods and services. Additionally, you will provide their input into the subcontract/procurement plan and ensure that timelines for tendering and contract execution are met. They will lead contractual negotiations and will draft and execute contracts utilizing standard templates and bespoke terms.
Your responsibilities as Subcontract Specialist (Remote Technologies & Assets):
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Advise Remote Technologies and Assets teams on sourcing and procurement strategies
- Ensure compliance with internal subcontracting policies, processes and procedures
- Engage with internal stakeholders and promote cross department engagement
- Promote the proper use of internal procurement systems and tools such as VendorLink, Procurement Plans etc.
- Develop comprehensive RFQ/ITT documents, engaging with the relevant Technical Representative and SHEQ
- Undertake commercial/contractual evaluations, consolidating full evaluation process and presenting tender outcomes to and relevant Internal Stakeholders.
Qualifications
You can make your mark as Subcontract Specialist (Remote Technologies & Assets) if you have:
- At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in a subsea/oil and gas subcontract/contract environment.
- A relevant degree in Law, Business or Quantity Surveying.
- Subsea Project/Vessel Subcontracting/Contracting knowledge
- Strategic sourcing experience
- Supplier Performance Management experience - experience in target and KPI setting, benchmarking and performance reporting.
- Experienced in the use of LOGIC contracting principles and knowledge/experience of specialized contract forms - BIMCO, Charter Parties
- Ability to build robust relationships with key Internal Stakeholders.
