St Paul’s is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with a total of 1160 students on roll, including 230 students in the Sixth form. The College has a strong ethos and is a vibrant Christian community. We are committed to ensuring we never accept second best for the students in our care and aim to give them a full educational experience that supports their academic, personal, and faith development.

St Paul’s was ranked among the top 15 non-selective comprehensives by The Times and Sunday Times in December 2023, and has been graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in the last two inspections. The College moved to our current site in 2004 on the outskirts of Burgess Hill, which is situated with strong travel links from Brighton and London. This gave us the unique opportunity to develop an innovative twenty-first-century learning environment. We have worked hard to develop the highest standards of learning and teaching and have built a national reputation for using technology to enhance learning.

We need to work hard to maintain and build on the current standards, as well as look to move forward and continue to improve at St Paul’s in every way. We ask that candidates fill in the full CES application, which you can complete on eTeach.

In choosing to work at St Paul’s, we promise that you will become part of a happy, supportive, and highly successful team.

  • their own laptop and iPad for all staff to support an embedded use of technology and reduce workload.
  • students benefitting from technology and having their own iPads to support learning in the classroom and beyond.
  • the support of a wellbeing team to care for staff happiness and welfare.
  • a culture where you are trusted and motivated to teach great lessons and take risks to move on our practice.
  • exceptional leadership opportunities to grow and develop internally and externally.

Ideally, you will be:

  • a subject specialist looking forward to teaching up to KS5.
  • a passionate and committed teacher keen to contribute and continue to improve each day.
