The Governors of St Mary’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a Premises Officer to help us look after our school, to work as a member of the whole staff team to ensure the children are provided with a safe, clean and attractive learning environment which will enhance their achievement and enjoyment.

Permanent 52 week contract - Grade 6 Point 9-12 £27,254 – £28,598 - Grade 7 Point 14-19 £29,540 - £32,061 pro rata. 15 – 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday (working pattern to be agreed).

Responsibilities

  • To open and/or close the site ensuring safety and security.
  • To ensure that the management and maintenance of the school buildings and environment are effectively undertaken.
  • To be responsible for the health & safety of the site.
  • To undertake repairs and DIY projects, and be proactive in identifying works required and areas for improvement.
  • To liaise with contractors, arranging quotes and overseeing repairs and building projects.
  • To create and maintain an effective premises team ensuring that the changing needs of the school are met through training and development of the cleaning staff.
  • To ensure a clean, tidy and well-maintained school environment.
