Responsibilities
- The Branch Manager is ultimately responsible for successful Sales and Operations for their location, including safety and quality management, maintaining positive employee well-being, enhancing customer service and the customer experience, growing sales in units and parts and supplies, inventory management, and P&L and Budget oversight.
- Create and maintain a culture of Zero Harm, aiming to eliminate incidents, accidents, injuries, and harm in the workplace and environment.
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained on equipment operated, with a focus on vehicle safety and forklift safety.
- Ensure incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions are properly reported, investigated, and eliminated in a timely manner.
- Ensure PPE compliance.
- Delight customers by providing quality products and services that meet or exceed requirements and evolving expectations, pursuing a zero-defect culture through continuous improvement.
- Manage customer relationships and enhance the customer experience.
- Support and maintain an efficient operation in accordance with current guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Develop and train all branch employees to maximize skills for efficient operation, including hiring, evaluation, coaching, and progressive discipline in partnership with management and Human Resources.
- Maintain inventory control within the branch and region to adequately serve customers with at least 98% SKU accuracy.
- Manage all shipping and receiving activities to ensure safe and efficient handling and storage of products.
- Oversee product selection for the location and manage pricing and margins on orders, adjusting as warranted.
- Administer Factory Warranty policies, including review and approval of warranty claims and proper disposition of defective items.
- Other duties as directed.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in branch/warehouse operational management
- 3+ years of experience in customer service
- HVAC experience
Preferred
- Strong leadership, customer service and sales skills
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software
- Strong interpersonal, customer relationship and decision-making skills
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills
- Strong analytical skills and a positive human relations orientation
