Job Description
We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Quality team as a Quality Technician!
Working in our Metrology lab, you will support the manufacturing and production engineering departments by monitoring and controlling the quality of manufacturing processes and products.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Working with existing teams to attain product compliance to specifications in a lean and effective production environment.
- Carrying out Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR).
- Performing first principles metrology, including inspection measurement planning.
- Programming (Polyworks software) and operating Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Faro Arm.
- Conducting capability studies and evaluating/reporting results.
- Carrying out Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Conducting and following up on Process Audits, verifying corrective actions.
- Applying problem-solving tools and techniques, such as 8D, 4D, PSS, and controlling non-conforming products.
- Ensuring compliance with Quality Management Procedures in accordance with ISO9001.
- Performing other general quality engineering duties to support production.

Qualifications
Our ideal candidate must have:
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Highly self-motivated and flexible.
- Good diplomatic communication skills – team player.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with metrology equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of problem-solving and preventative quality tools/methods (e.g., 8D, FMEA).
- Knowledge of capability indices, data collection, calculation, and analysis.
- Qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years\’ experience in an engineering quality role.
- Experience in copper pipe manufacture, press work, and paint processes.

Working Hours: Annualised hours, Monday to Friday, with a start time of 6 am. Flexibility required from 24 to 45 hours per week according to departmental needs.
