Job Description
- To develop and administer a supplier quality auditing program in line with HydraForce standards and processes. Ensuring audits are conducted and completed to schedule.
- To liaise with suppliers as required to drive open issues & supplier improvement plans to resolution.
- To generate, manage and maintain supplier scorecards, reporting performance out to heads of department at set frequencies, escalating poor performance & initiating corrective action plans to bring underperforming suppliers back to minimum requirements.
- Support NPI activities with regards to Supplier Readiness Reviews, Supplier Business Assessments or Special Process audits as and when required.
- Facilitate Containment, Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions with the supplier base ensuring suppliers meet expectations within minimum timeframes. (NCMR’s completed to closure on time).
- Implement and maintain an effective reporting system to identify the opportunities for improvement in supplier quality performance.
- Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing) Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control, & PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) & use as part of the development process.
- To initiate & review supplier PPAPs adhering to company guidelines and requirements.
- Conduct benchmarking studies in the supply chain, to determine best practices/designs.
- To conduct audits at suppliers when required to ensure the integrity of the supply chain, feeding back any identified issues to both the supplier and relevant HydraForce personnel on a timely basis.
- Work with the purchasing team to ensure supplier cost recovery is executed in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Undertake Special projects as and when necessary.
Qualifications
- Undertaking engineering degree
- Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Awareness of lean manufacturing techniques would be useful
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes advantageous
- Ability to multi task and prioritise
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Self motivated and dynamic, with a can-do attitude
