The Automotive division of Bosch UK has a unique opportunity for a Business Studies student or similar, with a keen interest in account management, sales and logistics, to partake in a six – twelve month internship. In this internship, the student will have the chance to gain experience in real company tools and programs, learn the sales processes and be part of the internal Bosch network, as well as participate in customer-facing tasks.
The department works with car manufacturers in the UK, such as Jaguar and Land Rover, Bentley, and Aston Martin, supporting our long-lasting relations and ensuring their aftermarket spare part needs are met. The student will receive training to support our Sales team in the Denham office with daily portfolio-management processes, including parts’ lifecycle support with release and phase-out, as well as sales processes such as quotations and other contracting procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a successful team, develop your personal and professional skills, and gain valuable work experience in a friendly and open environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Sales Managers in preparing quotations, processing and archiving according to the sales process;
- Working with numbers, databases and information tools and preparing reports;
- Monitoring product portfolios;
- Preparing part releases and communicating with various Bosch production plants and other Bosch colleagues globally for sourcing information;
- Working with sales data to support decision making regarding the phase-out of older products;
- Liaising with customer contacts on running projects;
- Occasional special projects for internal promotion of Success Stories.
Requirements:
- You should be studying for a degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Business Studies, Economics, etc;
- Be a Customer service and Sales enthusiast;
- Self-motivated and eager to learn;
- Have excellent English communication skills both verbal and written;
- Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint Skills, Power Bi – desirable;
- Knowledge of SAP is beneficial but not essential.
Please note that we would like you to start in August 2022 for a 12-month Internship. Shorter terms and sooner start dates can be discussed. This position is open to undergraduates who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their degree course.
