Job Description
Freud is the worldwide leader in the cutting tool industry. At Freud, we leverage over 55 years expertise and manufacturing know-how to offer the most extensive variety of high precision quality tools, including Circular Saw Blades, Drilling, Routing, CNC tools and Cutters.
In order to further develop sales of Freud in the UK & Ireland, we are recruiting for a Business Development Manager.
As part of an international Freud sales team and working in close collaboration with the Bosch Power Tool sales team, you will be responsible for the sales and development of Freud products across the portfolio with specific focus on industrial products for carpentry, joinery, industrial woodworking etc.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Profitable Sales & development of Freud products, with specific focus on driving industrial growth.
- Work closely with machine and woodworking trade distribution and re-sharpeners and implement product and price strategies.
- Drives distribution and portfolio expansion with end-user and distribution hunting lists development, in collaboration with Bosch sales teams.
- Product launch and distribution excellence, to further develop market share.
- Provide technical support to distribution and end-users, with the ability to understand the requirements and match the right tool for their needs.
- Implementation and tracking of central promotional calendars.
- Participation in local and international trade fairs and events.
- Training and support of customers and local staff on request.
- Feedback with market intelligence; trends, competition, distribution.
- Develops and executes annual growth plans in collaboration with marketing teams.
- Act as the Freud ambassador in the UK & Ireland market, both internally and externally

Qualifications
Whilst not essential, a background in woodworking or knowledge of machine manufacturing and cutting would be beneficial.
