About The Role

As the Community Manager at Parkway in Surrey, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the provision of a best-in-class resident experience, managing day-to-day operations, building an exceptional team, and overseeing financial aspects. Your dedication to exceptional customer service, strong leadership skills, and attention to detail will be key in creating a vibrant and thriving community within the building.

What You\’ll Do

Resident Experience Excellence:

  • Develop and execute strategies to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents.
  • Address resident inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, striving for high resident satisfaction.
  • Organize and oversee resident events, programs, and activities to foster a sense of community and engagement among residents.
  • Implement a resident communication plan through various channels to keep residents informed about building updates and community news.

Day-to-Day Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential building, ensuring it is well-maintained, safe, and clean.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams to address maintenance requests and repairs promptly.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
  • Manage building access and security protocols to ensure residents\’ safety and privacy.
  • Facilitate leasing duties including but not limited to conducting suite showings, communicating with leads, and updating Salesforce.

Team Building and Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing building management team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, provide performance feedback, and support professional growth and development.
  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative culture within the team, encouraging open communication and shared goals.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
  • Monitor rent collections, expenses, and financial reports, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize revenue generation.

Vendor and Partner Relationships:

  • Source and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best terms and conditions for the building.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in property management, community development, or related roles.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM with flexibility to work weekends as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire the team.
  • In-depth knowledge of rental property management laws, regulations, and market trends in Vancouver.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to utilize property management software and other relevant tools.

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.

$78,600 – $99,800 CAD
