The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

The core purpose of this role is to support the practice's commitment to deliver integrated, patient-centred care, responsive to the needs of our local population. The postholder will be a key member of the administration team, working collaboratively with colleagues to provide holistic and coordinated care to our patient community. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of patient centred care to ensure the achievement of key health and welfare objectives of the practice.

Ideally, the post holder will have experience of using EMIS Web clinical system and DOCMAN system.

Main duties of the job

  • To help to support the practice to deliver quality services such as QOF, and locally commissioned enhanced services.
  • Contribute to practice capacity, access and improvement projects to meet the primary care network requirements.
  • Support other management team members, i.e. holiday cover etc. and provide administrative cover.
  • Assist in maintaining standards and policies across the practice in relation to compliance for CQC.
  • Ensure staff training is updated and keep robust staff folders.
  • To comply with timely parameters in relation to The Medicine Management Team.
  • To carry out risk assessments when required.
  • To identify and action data quality issues.

About us

We are a small village surgery with a practice population of around 4500 patients. We have two main GPs in the partnership along with three other permanent part-time GPs and two practice nurses. We are a friendly small team who work well together and are looking for someone who is confident to work either on their own initiative or alongside the team.

Person Specification

Ideally, the candidate will have had EMIS and DOCMAN experience in a GP practice. Experience of working in primary care GP practice.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
