About the role
The Adults Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is a team of professionals consisting of a range of organisations and agencies who work together to safeguard adults who may be at risk of abuse, harm, or neglect, and to support the screening of referrals into the Adult Social Care Service. The MASH aims to improve the responses to safeguarding concerns through stronger links and better information sharing between organisations and agencies to promote better outcomes for adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake MASH checks, working with partner agencies to gather information in a timely manner that are of high quality.
- Ensuring the delivery of the MASH Service.
- Promote effective partnership working within area of responsibility.
- Provide clear analysis and make recommendations on MASH information to ensure informed decisions are made about Adults and older people and carers.
- Ensure the delivery of safeguarding services to adults and carers.
- Support the monitoring and improvement of service performance.
- Support quality control, service, and case auditing systems in relation to the services for which the post is responsible.
- All opportunities to prevent, reduce and delay access to social care services are taken.
- Maximising residents’ ability to maintain their independence.
- To ensure the implementation of Safeguarding Stage 1 Concern Episodes & Making Safeguarding Personal.
- To work as a dedicated team member to ensure best practice.
- Deputise for the MASH Practice Manager as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Enhanced DBS Clearance.
- Holder of Social Work England registration.
- Able to work flexible or unsocial hours at short notice.
