About the role

We are looking to recruit two Employment Advisers to join our Trailblazer Programme, supporting individuals to move closer to, and into, sustainable employment. These are exciting opportunities to be part of an innovative programme that delivers tailored, person-centred employment support. As an Employment Adviser, you will work directly with participants facing a range of barriers to employment. You will provide one-to-one guidance, motivation and practical support, helping individuals build confidence, develop skills and progress toward meaningful work outcomes. The role is well-suited to someone who is passionate about employability, understands the challenges people face in accessing work, and enjoys building trusted relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised employment support through one-to-one sessions and action planning
  • Support participants to identify realistic career goals and progression routes
  • Provide high-quality job search, CV, application and interview support
  • Engage with local employers, training providers and support services
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and performance reporting
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve programme outcomes

Terms and Conditions / Qualifications

  • Experience in employment support, welfare-to-work, careers guidance or a related field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A motivational, empathetic and solution-focused approach
  • Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate case notes
  • An understanding of barriers to employment and how to address them
  • The ability to manage a caseload and work to targets within a supportive team environment
  • Satisfactory employment references and CIFAS identity checks
  • Satisfactory declaration of interest
  • Satisfactory DBS check
  • The post is politically restricted (disqualified from certain political activities)
  • Fluent spoken English is required
