About Us
OneSource Debt Resolution Services is a shared serviced partnership between The London Borough of Newham and the London Borough of Havering. This in-house Enforcement Team operates within the M25 and is responsible for the collection of a variety of Council debts, including Council Tax, Road Traffic and Business Rates.
About the Job
We have an excellent opportunity for a Debt Resolution Officer to join our contact centre team, to collect payments, negotiate payment plans and handle queries from customers regarding various debt types.
About the Candidate
- You will be required to have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Your primary function will be to handle inbound telephone calls and to conduct outbound telephone calling to secure payment from defaulters.
- You will also be required to answer correspondence from debtors along with dealing with e-mail and live chat.
- You will have experience of debt collection and have worked in the same or similar environment.
- You should have the ability to deal with difficult calls and have good written and verbal skills.
- Understanding of the Tribunal Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 is desired but full training will be provided to the successful candidates.
