We are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Teacher of Music from September 2026. This is an opportunity for a teacher to become part of our supportive Visual & Performing Arts (VPAT) Department. This post is offered on a fixed term contract to cover the substantive postholder’s maternity leave. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across all age and ability ranges. You will be an effective classroom teacher with the ability to raise the achievement of all students and be keen to play a full part in the life of the school.

As part of the VPAT Faculty, you will develop and run weekly extra-curricular activities for students. Applications from ECTs are welcome as the school has a strong ECT training and support programme.

Prendergast Vale School is a small all-through school providing high quality education from nursery to Year 11, which aims to transform the lives of all the children who attend the school. By keeping the school small, we have created a community of pupils and teachers where no pupil is left behind which has enabled us to create an environment in which pupils want to learn, achieve and behave well.
