Are you interested in a career in Planning? As a Business Administration Apprentice in the Planning Team, you'll play a vital role in our Planning Department. You'll be at the heart of our planning processes, ensuring applications and documents are accessible to the public. Your duties will include:
- Registering and processing planning applications
- Uploading documents for public viewing and comment
- Managing public and statutory consultee comments
- Generating essential planning correspondence
You will be fully trained in all aspects of the role including the use of specialist software and machinery. You'll be working alongside experienced professionals, learning valuable skills, and contributing to the smooth operation of our planning department. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in planning. You'll join a dynamic team where you can develop your skills and knowledge. As you progress, you'll have the chance to explore other roles within the planning department while also earning a Business Administration qualification. This role is temporary for 18 months.

We are looking for someone with good IT Skills who has the ability to work in a pressured environment with changing priorities, is flexible in their attitude to their duties, organised, and has the ability to work well in a team.
Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House, we operate a hybrid approach whereby you may be required to work both in the office and from home as determined by service requirements. The potential apprentice will on occasions work in other areas of the planning team as needed.
