As a Payroll Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day delivery of a comprehensive payroll service, ensuring staff are paid correctly and queries are resolved promptly. You’ll handle data input, process payments, and provide expert advice to employees and external bodies, all while maintaining high standards of customer care and confidentiality.

We’re seeking someone with strong IT and administration skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage conflicting demands under pressure. You’ll need excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients. Experience in payroll or personnel administration is essential, along with a commitment to equality, diversity, and outstanding customer service. The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary: £36,015 to £39,915 per annum (Sc5/6). N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
