Do you want to support students that are unable to attend school? Are you an experienced Maths teacher looking for a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher to work with an enthusiastic and dynamic team within the Hospital Outreach Programme (HOP) run by Lewisham Virtual School. This will be largely an independent role, and you will be joining the HOP Team consisting of the HOP School Room Supervisor based in the Lewisham Hospital School Room, HOP English Outreach Tutor, HOP Outreach Manager, and HOP Clinical Psychologist, working with children and young people of statutory school age and their families in a variety of settings. This role is part-time term time only.

What we’re looking for
You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be committed to the development of the service and in working collaboratively with parents and other professionals to close the gap in attainment for Young People unable to attend school for medical reasons. An interest and expertise in meeting the needs of those with Physical and Mental Health needs would be especially welcomed. Qualified Teacher status is essential. Experience of peripatetic work is desirable but not essential as training will be given. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU and Lewisham Hospital, London, SE13 6LH but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from students' homes.

Salary
£40,317-£52,300 per annum pro rata (SCP M1-M6) of the Teacher Main Pay Range (MPR). Term Time only. N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
