About Us: It is an exciting time to join Lambeth Council. We have bold ambitions for the future of Lambeth's communities and residents through our Lambeth 2030 Plan. To deliver on these ambitions, we have embarked on our transformational One Lambeth Programme ensuring we are connected by purpose in everything we do to deliver excellence. We are proud to have recently developed a refreshed set of One Lambeth Values and Behaviours that were developed for staff by staff: Equity, Ambition, Kindness, and Accountability.

About the Borough: Located in the heart of South London, Lambeth Borough is a vibrant community of over 317,600 residents. Stretching from the dynamic neighbourhood of Streatham in the South to the iconic landmarks of Waterloo in the North, we are proud to be the 9th largest borough in London. Our diversity is our strength, with more than 130 languages spoken, making Lambeth the home of the Windrush generation, London's largest LGBTQ community, and a thriving Portuguese-speaking community. With exceptional schools, lush green spaces including Brockwell Park, cultural gems like the Black Cultural Archives, and world-renowned institutions such as St Thomas's Hospital, Lambeth offers an enriching and dynamic environment.

About the role: The Lambeth Schools Partnership (LSP) strengthens Local Authority schools and other educational settings' partnership work to accelerate school improvement across the borough while providing professional support and challenge to all educational institutions in Lambeth. The LSP coordinates, signposts, and brokers a range of providers offering training, traded services, and advice. We want to inspire our schools to deliver their best for children and young people. We support the highest standards in our schools and expect each one to be judged as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, whatever their starting point. Our ambition is for all Lambeth schools to be at or above the London average for Key Stage results within 3 years and in the top quartile by 2030. To achieve this, the LSP aims to provide an excellent school improvement offer that successfully supports and challenges every one of our member schools to provide the best educational experience to its community. We aim to develop a strong collective ethos, empowering schools to work together and hold each other to account. We also strive to keep our schools ahead of the curve and connect them to the most exciting and innovative leadership training and development.

We are looking for a primary educationalist with successful experience of headship as well as effective implementation of school improvement strategies. The post holder will understand the changing national education landscape and bring a blend of strategic and commercial skills to lead initiatives identified by the partnership to achieve our strategic ambitions; ensuring quality service provision that makes a difference to local school standards. This is a critical role that will positively impact on the Borough's and the Lambeth Schools Partnership's priorities for education excellence and outcomes for children and families in our borough.

If this role appeals to you, we will be delighted to hear from you.
