About the Team: iCAS is a large team of Social Workers, Social Care Trusted Assessors and Occupational Therapists. We are a fast-paced team providing a comprehensive, holistic social care service to Lambeth residents. Practitioner Managers provide line management of our front-line operational services and directly manage our very busy duty service alongside working closely with our Age UK team, who manage our telephone referral service.
About the Role: We are looking for an Experienced Practitioner Manager to join our fast-paced, front door, Community based team. A registered Social Worker with Social Work England, the successful candidate will have solid local authority experience within Adult Social Care. You will be able to confidently support and manage the performance of a team of social workers and social care assessors to foster a culture of continuous learning and reflection of practice that inspires staff to give of their best in their roles.
We are looking for candidates who have strong management and leadership skills with demonstrable experience of delivering high quality interventions for residents, their families and carers, and experience of supporting practitioners to implement and embed excellent practice. You will have sound understanding of Care Act interventions along with significant knowledge of Strengths Based Practice, Mental Capacity and Safeguarding Adults. You will supervise up to 8 social care staff in the team and will support with their professional development through regular 1:1 supervision sessions and appraisals. You will ensure that statutory assessments are assigned and completed in a timely manner within expected performance targets and quality standards.
