About the Team:

The voids service is part of our Income Maximisation Team within Housing Services. We manage empty council properties from key to key, coordinating repairs, inspections, and lettings. As a Void Surveyor, you will work under the guidance of the Void Manager as part of a small team of surveyors and contractors, ensuring void properties are brought up to agreed lettable standards efficiently and cost-effectively. You will collaborate closely with Income Maximisation Officers, who support property viewings and assist new tenants in settling into their homes. The team operates in a fast-paced, responsive environment, committed to delivering a high-quality voids service for Lambeth Council tenants.

About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid technical knowledge of voids maintenance and experience working with contractors to deliver high-quality repair and turnaround works. As a Void Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting void properties, specifying works, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met. Working under the direction of the Void Manager, you’ll contribute to the smooth delivery of the service, with a focus on quality, value for money, and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal colleagues and external contractors.
