About the Team:
We have an exciting new job opportunity for an experienced Rehabilitation Officer for Visual Impairment to join our small but friendly team in the London Borough of Lambeth. As a ROVI, you’ll be a highly valued member of our team and your expertise and specialism in the field of visual impairments will be vital in promoting client independence as well as improving awareness of sensory issues with our many partner agencies.
Working with blind and partially sighted children, young people and adults; you will help people with sight loss to live the life they choose by delivering specialist services that enable them to become more mobile and independent. The ideal candidate will hold a qualification in VI Rehabilitation at Certificate/Diploma level and have at least 1 year’s experience of working with VI people in the community.
You will have up-to-date knowledge on current legislation relating to visual impairment and an understanding of Safeguarding and the legislation that underpins it. You’ll be someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively and focuses on results. If you have a passion for working in social care, we’d like to hear from you.
