About the Team:
The Short Term Service (STS) is an innovative, multi-agency pilot at the front door of children’s services, designed to help families earlier, make better decisions faster, and prevent unnecessary escalation into statutory intervention. This is a small, high-impact, multidisciplinary team working alongside the Initial Response Hub/MASH.

About the Role:
Domestic Abuse requires immediate, expert intervention. By embedding a Domestic Abuse worker within the Short Term Service we aim to provide targeted support at the earliest point of intervention.
What you will do:
- Complete rapid DA risk assessments and safety planning.
- Provide trauma‑informed support to survivors.
- Work closely with social workers, housing, police, and health partners.
- Contribute specialist input to escalation and risk decisions.
What we are looking for:
- Experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse (IDVA or similar).
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and coercive control.
- Ability to act quickly and hold boundaries under pressure.
