The Post

This is an exciting role that will help establish a new supported accommodation scheme, working closely with Brent's housing company, First Wave Housing (the scheme operator). You will:

  • Be at the heart of setting up this new service and making it a reality for care experienced young people, residents with mental health challenges, and residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Design a new model of support and evaluate the scheme at key checkpoints.
  • Be responsible for coordinating staff across the council, including social care, housing management, housing needs, commissioning, housing benefit, legal and finance.
  • Help achieve significant cost reductions for various key budgets.
  • Create a successful foundation to allow the scheme to scale up, providing a brand new support service for up to 100 homeless residents per year while ensuring good quality delivery for all residents throughout.

The Person

Our ideal candidate will be part of Brent's work to tackle homelessness and provide better support and accommodation to residents in Brent. You will enjoy creating something meaningful and working with colleagues across a broad range of topics.
