The Post
As the Senior Vision Rehabilitation Specialist, you will undertake high quality assessments of clients with visual loss and provide advice, training and support to promote safe independence and improve client’s life experience. You will use your skills and knowledge to promote service users’ safety and independence. You will also lead and supervise other staff in providing a high-quality service to service users with a visual impairment.
The Person
You will hold a recognised professional qualification (Certificate / Diploma in Rehabilitation / Mobility or Technical Officer or equivalent in Rehabilitation studies). Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing and supervising others and be an effective communicator, with good organisation and planning skills alongside rehabilitation skills (orientation & mobility, daily living). You will have the ability to work as part of a team and hold knowledge of main issues in working with adults with visual impairment and additional complex needs and show commitment to professional development and engagement in sharing learning and expertise with others.
