Be a key part in monitoring Brent\’s growth and development

Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.

The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.

The Post

You will work in both the Planning Policy Team and the Infrastructure Planning Team. Planning Policy monitoring will help understand how effective Brent Local Plan policies are. This will help understand what policy changes might be needed, or changes to council actions and the evidence needed to support such changes. Infrastructure Planning Team work will monitor and report on Community Infrastructure Levy or Planning Obligations financial contributions received. It will monitor how contributions are spent and on what benefits they are delivering to Brent communities.

The Person

You should have a confidence with numbers and be diligent, understanding the necessity for good quality data to inform decisions. You should be able to work on your own but also actively contribute to the teams. You will be liaising with a wide variety of people, both internal and external to the Council, so should have good written and verbal communication skills.

Closing date: 5 January 2026 (23:59)
