  • Are you willing to roll up your sleeves for the benefit of learners?
  • Do you go the extra mile when needed?
  • Have you got a good track record for the attendance and achievement of your learners?

If you can answer 'yes' to those questions, you are the kind of person we are looking for to enter our sessional/bank staff pool. We are looking to strengthen the Early Years and HSC teaching team at Brent Start Adult and Community Learning Centre, and we want creative, flexible and committed staff to make this possible. This role requires teamwork and a willingness to do what it takes to support Brent Start and the curriculum area.

The Person:

You are a dedicated member of staff who consistently puts learners first. With attendance at team meetings, training events and standardisation/audit meetings, you are a person that can be relied upon to produce quality. In addition, you have knowledge and experience of RaRPA and using accreditation with external examination boards.

We are seeking an experienced professional with an Early Years Practitioner qualification at Level 4 or above, ideally complemented by a Level 5 teaching qualification. If you do not currently hold a Level 5 teaching qualification, we are open to discussing your commitment to achieving this within an agreed timeframe at your own cost. In addition, you should possess both Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualifications. Experience with Makaton would be an advantage. A GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in Maths is desirable. The role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, and a current DBS check would be highly welcomed.
