Salary range: £52,194 - £55,323 p.a. incl. London weighting.
A £5000 ‘golden hello’ for DTM OTs new to Brent, upon completion of their probationary period. An annual retention payment of £3000 for eligible frontline workers and managers from Grade PO2 – PO7.

We are looking for Deputy Team Manager Occupational Therapist for Brent’s Reablement Team which is an integrated service combining the fast-paced response to Pathway 1 Home First discharges and the delivery of reablement and social care services in a short term response team set up. The team’s ethos is about promoting and enabling independence and we have good working relationships with our partners and colleagues in the hubs and intermediate care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist, who has experience of working with adults with physical disabilities and older people to take an active role with day to day running of the Team in providing specialist advice, guidance, support and supervision to qualified and non-qualified social care and OT staff working within the team. Also the opportunity to develop the team services and role in delivering the Integrated Care Partnership.

Person centred services are aimed at maximising independence through building resilience and empowerment to enable people to manage their care and be independent.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a progressive and Multi-disciplinary team comprising of Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Care Assessors and OT assistants providing Reablement to clients in their own homes. The successful candidates will have key roles in developing:
- Improved pathways with the existing community social care and intermediate care services as part of the Integrated Care Partnership with our Acute and Community NHS provider Trusts and 3rd Sector organisations.
- Working with Brent’s Adult Social Care brokerage team on training of new Reablement Home Care providers.
- Staff development and training for team members as an integral role in the retention and upskilling of the workforce in Adult Social Care.
The successful candidates will ideally have post graduate experience in Social Care and or Intermediate Care, have experience of supervising staff and or students in the workplace and of working with Home Care providers and/or Reablement providers.
