Salary range: £52,194 - £55,323 p.a. inc. London weighting

Contract: Fixed term (12 months)

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

This post is within the Information Governance Team. The Team supports the council with the overall approach to Information Governance (Data Protection, Information Security, Record Management, Information Assurance and Compliance) working collaboratively with internal colleagues, external customers and partners on information related projects alongside processing subject access requests. We are looking for people who can build positive relationships at various levels and can bring enthusiasm, creativity and passion to the service. The post requires the candidate to help the council comply with its obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018. You will need to be passionate about serving our customers, have excellent communication skills and the creativity to find solutions that deliver excellent services to our customers.

The Person

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual who is passionate about information governance and compliance. As a key member of the Information Governance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Data Protection Legislation and Information Governance standards contributing to the delivery of an effective Information Governance service across the organisation. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required, as you will be interpreting and communicating complex organisational data. You will also have outstanding organisational, planning and administrative skills and the ability to manage constantly changing priorities and competing demands in order to meet deadlines. You will be able to work flexibly as part of a busy team.
