Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

The Post

This post offers an excellent opportunity for a property professional who is interested to further develop their skills in property project management. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the Council's property programmes, which underpin a significant number of property acquisitions in Brent and other areas, to support the Council’s housing and regeneration priorities. You will be involved in large-scale programmes that deliver property and housing solutions for residents. You will contribute to the delivery of key acquisition initiatives including, Investment for Brent (i4B), Local Authority Housing Fund (LAHF Round 3 & 4) and Council Homes Acquisition Programmes (CHAP).

The Person

You will have experience of visiting and inspecting properties, with a sound understanding of property standards, design and construction. You will have good knowledge and experience of property acquisition and conveyancing process. You will demonstrate strong written communication skills, including report writing, market data analysis skills and the ability to present information in a clear, structured and methodical manner. You will exercise sound judgement, work thoroughly and accurately and show strong attention to detail. You will be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. You will have experience of negotiating and good presentation skills. A team player, you will work closely with Property Acquisition and Disposal officers and Estate Surveyors, therefore effective communication and collaborative working skills are essential. You will be proactive in dealing with all property related matters.

Qualifications

Aspiring to become a property professional - AssocRICS or MRICS (desirable). Full clean driving licence.
