About the role: The Public Health Strategist (Gambling Harms Prevention) will lead the strategic development, coordination and delivery of Barnet Council’s approach to preventing and reducing gambling-related harms. The postholder will work across the council and with external partners to develop the council’s approach to addressing gambling harms, including the development of a gambling harms prevention strategy.
About you:
- Graduate degree in Public Health or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in public health on wider determinants of health.
- Experience and/or knowledge of conducting health needs assessment through the collation, analysis and interpretation of key public health data, information and evidence, including qualitative data.
- Experience coordinating research on public health issues with an emphasis on co-production.
- Experience of effective partnership working with external and internal stakeholders to plan and deliver services.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and synthesize complex information, including epidemiological data, from a number of sources.
