Contract Type: Fixed Term/Secondment until 30th September 2027 (potential for 12 month extension to 30 September 2028)

About the North London Equipment Partnership (NLEP)

The North London Equipment Partnership (NLEP) brings together eight London boroughs; Barnet, Brent, Camden, Hackney, Hammersmith & Fulham, Haringey, Harrow and Islington to commission an integrated community equipment service delivered by Provide Care Solutions Ltd. Camden is the lead borough for the partnership and hosts the dedicated NLEP team. The integrated equipment service supports both adult and children’s services and works closely with health partners across the region.

What You’ll Be Doing / How You’ll Be Involved

We are seeking a positive, proactive leader to join Camden’s Adults and Health Directorate, working across borough boundaries to champion innovation, tackle inequalities and deliver high‑quality outcomes for residents across North London. As NLEP Lead Commissioner, you will lead the oversight, development and future direction of the integrated community equipment service on behalf of the partnership. Reporting to the Head of Adults’ Commissioning, you will work closely with adult social care, children’s services and health partners across all eight boroughs. This is a highly collaborative, system‑wide role requiring strong leadership, commissioning expertise and a commitment to co‑production, equalities and partnership working. You will play a key role in shaping how integrated equipment services evolve to meet current and future resident needs.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS. Please note Camden also offers the DBS update service.

All About You

To be considered for this exciting opportunity it is essential the successful candidate is educated to degree level or has equivalent relevant experience at a senior level, and will bring experience from commissioning, health or social care, alongside a strong understanding of integrated community equipment services. You will have previous demonstrable experience managing complex programmes or projects within multi‑agency environments, with a proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. You will be confident developing strategic financial and investment business cases and have a sound understanding of the local government financial context. You will communicate complex information clearly and effectively, adapting your approach to suit a wide range of audiences, and be comfortable analysing and interpreting complex population, service and financial data to inform evidence‑based decision making. You will enjoy building honest, productive relationships across organisational boundaries and thrive in collaborative settings. You will also think creatively, embrace change and be motivated to test new and innovative approaches as social care and health systems continue to evolve.
