About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright, dynamic and ambitious person to join Barnet Council as a Conference and Review Administrator. Barnet’s Child Protection conferences are conducted in line with statutory guidelines in relation to child protection conferences and reviews for children in care. This role is part of a team providing a comprehensive conferencing service, assisting with ensuring that a thorough record of child protection conferences is completed in every case within timescales and entering information on to the case management system.

The aim of the Family Service is to ensure that all children and young people in Barnet achieve the best possible outcomes and to enable them to become successful adults, especially our most vulnerable children. They should be supported by high quality, integrated and inclusive services that identify additional support needs early, are accessible, responsive and affordable for the individual child and their family.

About you

  • Experienced in taking and distributing confidential minutes in line with Data Protection policy, and ensuring minutes are distributed in accordance within strict deadlines.
  • Able to respond appropriately and sensitively to angry and distressed members of the public and clients within the context of relevant procedures.
  • Able to ensure that client confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Able to carry out procedures to collect and provide statistical information and ensure children’s records are accurately updated.
  • Experienced in complex diary management.
