St Catherine's Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated Caretaker who will play a key role in further enhancing our school site to maintain the highest standards in safety and cleanliness for the whole community.

About you:

  • Reliable, proactive, hardworking and flexible with a positive outlook on life.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to plan, schedule and evaluate your own work.
  • Take pride in your place of work with DIY skills and the ability to competently carry out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating.
  • Demonstrate good inter-personal skills with all members of our school community - children, parents/carers, colleagues, governors and visitors.
  • Enjoy learning new skills and keeping up to date with procedures.
  • Jointly responsible for Health and Safety on site, including security and maintenance systems.
  • Able to use a PC and operate basic software (internet, emails, Word documents).
  • Committed to being fully involved in all aspects of school life at St Catherine’s, upholding our Catholic ethos and values on a day-to-day basis and occasionally at special weekend events.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday: 07:15 to 11:15 and 15:00 to 18:15. The shift pattern can be flexible – please talk to us if this doesn’t suit you. Occasional ad-hoc overtime hours may be requested for PTA events at the school.
