This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy Electoral Services Team based in Barnet's offices in Colindale (very close to Colindale Tube station). Barnet has one of the largest populations in London, a rapidly growing electorate and closely fought elections with high levels of voter engagement.
As part of our professional and supportive Electoral Services team you will deliver all statutory electoral processes including elections and work with colleagues to provide first class services to the residents of Barnet. You will be required to work with a high level of accuracy and demonstrate initiative and resilience in order to work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines.
Qualifications- Proven experience or sound understanding of electoral administration or similar roles
- Ability to quickly grasp and communicate electoral legislation, processes and guidance
- Willingness to meet tight deadlines including occasional long or unsociable hours
- Strong ICT proficiency with adaptability to new systems and technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality service with a proactive and positive approach
- Professionalism and motivation with experience engaging with candidates, elected members, agents and senior officers
- AEA certification desirable but not essential
- Deliver all statutory electoral processes including elections.
- Provide first-class services to the residents of Barnet.
