About the Role

Borough Kitchen is looking for an outgoing and friendly full-time Sales Associate with a genuine passion for food and cooking to join our store. The ideal candidate will enjoy sharing their knowledge and delivering second-to-none advice and customer service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering an excellent, welcoming and personal customer experience
  • Understanding customers’ needs and confidently recommending the right products
  • Building lasting customer relationships and encouraging repeat visits
  • Developing strong product knowledge through ongoing training
  • Replenishing stock and identifying selling trends and low-stock items
  • Maintaining excellent store standards, displays and merchandising
  • Processing purchases, arranging deliveries and providing after-sales service
  • Introducing customers to our wider range, including special orders and our online shop

Please note: Weekend and bank holiday availability is required. December is our busiest trading month, so we ask our team to plan annual leave outside of December wherever possible.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for cooking, food and entertaining
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly, outgoing and proactive approach
  • An enthusiasm for learning about our products and developing selling skills
  • Previous retail experience is an advantage, but not essential
  • Weekend availability is required
