We are looking for a friendly, positive individual with a can-do attitude who can work effectively as part of our team. We need someone who has a calm approach and can handle a variety of tasks in a busy environment.

Main duties of the job

  • Patient Interaction:Greet patients warmly and manage check-ins, ensuring they feel welcome and informed about their appointments.
  • Appointment Management:Efficiently schedule and manage appointments using our digital systems, ensuring optimal use of clinician time.
  • Communication:Handle phone calls and emails, providing information and directing queries to the appropriate team members.
  • Support:Assist patients with completing necessary forms, especially those who may not have internet access.
  • Coordination:Work closely with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow and manage any urgent requests

Situated in a desirable semi-rural location in Kent, our practice is both a dispensing and training facility with additional services such as Minor Surgery, ENT, Vasectomies, Admin team and Gynaecology Clinics. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, and you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional Reception support and be our patients first point of contact. We take pride in our professional and caring approach to supporting our patients and the local community

Job responsibilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital systems for scheduling and patient management.
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with a diverse patient population.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
  • Previous Reception experience but not essential as full training will be provided.
