How often do you get the career opportunity to shape a marketing team from the very beginning?
At the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, we're creating a new corporate Marketing Team - and we're looking for an experienced, ambitious marketing professional to bring it to life.
This is your chance to do more than inherit a plan.
You'll form, shape and lead the team, establish how it works and develop an organisation-wide marketing strategy that turns ambition into measurable results for the benefit of our communities.
Part of our wider Communications, Marketing and Engagement Service, you'll work with the Service Manager, the wider Marketing Team, Corporate Leadership Team and service clients to agree priority marketing campaigns and activities that support our Corporate Strategy and wider ambitions for West Norfolk, both as an organisation and a place.
The variety is a major part of the appeal.
Moving confidently between business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing, you'll combine creative thinking with commercial focus across a diverse portfolio.
More than a line manager, you'll confidently lead by example in supporting and developing the team and this new important corporate function.
On the consumer side, you'll help connect audiences with leisure, culture and experiences: from our leisure centres and the Corn Exchange to council events, venue promotion and Visit West Norfolk destination marketing.
On the business side, you'll champion opportunities that attract inward investment, support economic development and regeneration, grow the local business economy and maximise income from council assets.
You'll lead and develop your team, manage a pooled marketing budget and any external agency contracts, and turn audience insight into integrated campaigns.
From setting objectives and commissioning creative work to evaluating performance and return on investment, you'll combine strategic leadership with practical delivery.
If you're ready to build something new, bring people with you and see your marketing make a tangible difference to an organisation and place, this is the opportunity to make your experience count in taking your career to the next level.
