Starting salary between £24,414 and £28,152 per annum. All roles work on a shift rota including weekends and bank holidays.

If you are a strong swimmer, enthusiastic, customer-focused and passionate about helping people enjoy active, healthy lifestyles, we have opportunities for you to join our team. We are looking for three committed Recreation Assistants to join our friendly teams at either Alive Oasis or Alive St James.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will play a key part in the daily operation of our centres, helping us provide safe, clean and welcoming environments for all visitors. Your main duties will include:
- Lifeguarding
- Supporting day-to-day operations in all areas of the business
- Assisting at reception
- Maintaining cleanliness
- Ensuring every visitor has a great experience
- Delivering high-quality swimming lessons to all ages and abilities – from beginners to advanced swimmers
Full training will be provided for this. Ideally, you will already hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Swimming Teacher Qualification or be willing to gain them. You will need to pass a swim test before interview.
We are looking for people with strong communication skills, confidence in dealing with the public, able to remain focused under pressure with commitment to excellent customer care who enjoy working as part of a team.
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure, through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
