As Activities & Lifestyle Coordinator, you will support our team of Activities and Lifestyle Facilitators (ALFs) to make all of our care homes interesting and stimulating places to live. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the ALFs to ensure that their activity calendar increases meaningful occupation, exercise, time spent outdoors and celebrating diversity and inclusion.
- Working with our marketing manager for opportunities to showcase our activities externally.
- Supporting our homes to achieve and maintain the Veteran Friendly Framework accredited status.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to ALFs and training for new starters.
- Supporting our ALFs to make local contacts and increase their local networks that may be able to support increased meaningful occupation.
- Providing hands-on support at homes with activities during periods of absences.
If you are enthusiastic and creative with previous experience of working with people living with dementia, in a similar position, this is the ideal role for you. You will be a good communicator, with strong organisational and planning skills. You must already have or be willing to enrol on a Level 3 NAPA Activity Provision Qualification and a coaching skills course. You must also have a driving licence and be flexible to work early evenings and weekends when required.
