At BASScare, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support services to older people across Residential, Retirement Living and Community. With a proud history of compassion and professionalism, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our finance team.

In this diverse and rewarding position, you’ll take the lead on end-to-end payroll processing and provide valuable support across accounts receivable and payable functions. Your work will ensure staff are paid accurately and on time, while helping maintain the financial health of our organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Payroll
    • Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, including new hires, terminations, and employment changes
    • Maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with relevant legislation (Fair Work Act, superannuation, taxation)
    • Calculate wages, entitlements, deductions, bonuses, and taxes with precision
    • Manage timesheets, STP submissions, and issue payslips
    • Liaise with our salary packaging provider and resolve employee payroll queries
    • Stay current with legislative changes and award interpretations
    • Complete year-end processes including income statements and payroll reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Assist with preparing and issuing invoices to customers
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts
    • Process incoming payments and ensure accurate allocation
    • Support the reconciliation of accounts receivable ledgers
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Accounts Payable
    • Support processing and verification of supplier invoices
    • Accurately code and enter invoices for timely payment
    • Maintain vendor records and assist with statement reconciliations
    • Contribute to month-end closing and reporting tasks

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (preferably in a community, health, or NFP setting)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, including awards, STP, super, and tax obligations
  • Sound experience in accounts receivable/payable functions
  • High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Experience using payroll/accounting systems such as MYOB, Xero, or similar
