Community Services – Home Care – BASScare | Aged Care/Community/Retirement Living
BASScare is a NFP which operates an integrated program ofservices including meals-on-wheels, residential care facilities,respite care, dementia specific services, retirement living, aswell as planned activity groups at day centres, for older peoplewho wish to remain active and engaged with their localcommunities.
We are currently seeking experienced or those willing to developtheir skills to join our Home Services team. You will travel shortdistances, as clients reside within 10km of Ashburton orCanterbury.
Job Role
You will be an integral part of our client’s lives,empowering them by:
- Providing support
- Helping them access their community
- Enabling them to live life with independence, choice anddignity in their own homes.
About you
- You are looking for a career change! Though have noexperience.
- You may be re-entering the workforce and have no formaltraining or experience.
- You have basic understanding technology requirementsincluding emails.
- You’re enthusiastic and passionate about finding newand innovative ways of doing things.
- You have great problem solving skills, you’recomfortable working with change.
- You have good written and verbal English communicationskills.
- You have a valid driver’s license and access to avehicle
- A police check – or willing to obtain
- First aid and CPR or willing to obtain.
- You have completed or willing to complete Certificate IIIin Aged Care, Individual Support orDisability,however this is not a requirement aswe will train you.
Hours of work
- Permanent Part time (20 hours plus a week) roles available.At times there may be weekend and evening workrequired.
Salary and Benefits
- Qualified and experienced staff: $35 per hour.
- New entrants to the role: $32 per hour
