We are looking for a pastry chef to join our team. Passionate and self-motivated, we are looking for someone with proven experience and strong attention to detail. From mini cakes and éclairs to large multi-layered cakes, we expect the candidate to be confident and experienced in preparing a variety of desserts.

Job type: Permanent Full Time

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Weekend availability

Role:

  • Decorating pastries and other desserts using a variety of different sauces, toppings and other items
  • Contributing ideas to the menu
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Operating a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
  • Stock checking and preparing lists for ingredient orders.

Candidate:

  • Proven skill in baking, pastry preparation and decoration
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures for kitchens and food preparation areas
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also with a team
  • A food hygiene certificate or any food handling or preparation qualification is desirable, but not essential, as a course could be provided
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Pastry: 2 years (required)
  • Pastry for a bakery and coffee shop: 1 year (required)
